Where some may call it adobe, in our area it is just plain red clay. Although there is none on our property, I cannot forget the Tide commercial about the staining power of "Georgia red clay", spoken with a decidedly backwoods accent. Red Clay is also a Native American site nearby. The Red Clay Triptych was painted with brushes (horrors!) and painting knives.
